WHY I AM RIGHT FOR TAX COLLECTOR

 · Evening & Saturday hours 

· Experienced and the only candidate that served during a reassessment year. 

· Promised made, promises kept: Did not request a raise! 

· Open six days a week last two weeks of discount (with holiday exemptions)

· Submitted required Pennsylvania State Police background checks to the Beaver County Bureau of Election Office. (Currently a state law)

· Submitted required personal financial disclosure paperwork to both the Beaver County Bureau of Election Office and Economy Borough Municipal Office. (Currently a state law)

· Obtained more than minimum continuing education credits all four years of office. 

· My education and previous work experience have given me a solid understanding of tax calculations, millage, assessed and market values, common level ratio, payment schedules and general understanding of accounting practices, budgets and ledgers.  

· I use this knowledge and experience, combined with my strong analytic and organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent inter- personal skills, to fulfill the office of Economy Borough Tax Collector with the integrity, exactness, and diligence to which the residents of Economy Borough are entitled.

· Maintain a notary commission.

· All monetary collection staff will be deputized (currently a state law)

· I am bonded; trustworthy, fair, loyal, and intelligent.

· Review monthly real estate sales to ensure tax records are up to date.

· Will attend council and school board meetings. 

PERSONAL

· Lived in Economy Borough for almost 40 years.

· A member of my family’s 5th generation of Economy Borough residents. 

EDUCATION

· A graduate from Ambridge Area High School 

· Community College of Beaver County [Associates Degree in General Studies]

· Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania [Bachelor of Science in Human Resources and Master of Science in Organizational Leadership]. 

· Classes at Penn State, Beaver in order to receive my Real Estate License.

CAREER

· Three Rivers Sales and Marketing/Advantage, reconciliation of manufacturer accruals and bill payments for our clients. 

· Nielsen (the ratings people) conducted data analysis by using many proprietary software systems; worked several years in database management. 

· The Times, worked with budgets, created and tracked invoices as well as distributed payment information. 

· Hussey Copper conduct data analysis sales and financial trends; work with budgets, sales, and pricing, and costs.

VOLUNTEER DUTIES

· Oversaw the financial workings of the church when I was president of my church council (Rehoboth Evangelical Lutheran Church).  Past member of the marketing committee of the Beaver County Chamber of Commerce, VBS teacher, gardening club member.
